You are NOT Here to Change the World (but really, you are)
When the world seems overwhelming, as it often does, it's easy to think that you have to change it.; Yes YOU! And that's a huge burden.
Like Atlas, when you carry the weight of the entire world on your shoulders, eventually you'll start to buckle under the strain. Which in time drags you down and may cause you to give up on your dreams. We don't want that.
So what if you discovered that you are NOT here to change the world? You don't have to change one single molecule of it. You don't even have to pay attention, get caught up in the drama or take sides.
But what you can do - what you're obligated to do - is change yourself.
Not your true self, because that's core identity and it transcends 3D reality. But the self you are playing out in this time, space and dimension.
Because the self you are playing out, this expression of your identity, is actually what renders the world you experience. And when you change that, the world changes with it.
So how do you do that?
Important question because the answer is key to creating the life and experiences you want rather than simply being along for the ride.
The first step is awareness. Just by reading this and contemplating whether it rings true begins to soften the boundaries of what we believe possible. Take time with it. Allow it to simmer in the back of your mind for a while. Ask, "what if?"
Then pick something and change it. It can be the teeniest of things but size doesn't matter. You're looking for proof of concept here. If it works for something it works for everything.
Want a couple easy suggestions? Stop lights and parking places. Start declaring that all lights are green. Or red. Declare that you always get a parking spot close to the door. Or the cart corral. Or wherever you want it.
The outcome isn't even important. The declaration is.
Then watch and wait. Notice those lights and parking spots. Notice the times your declaration does happen. Don't cheer if it's your color. Don't curse if it's not. Just notice.
And repeat your declaration.
And weird thing... soon you'll notice your average improves. You'll experience more of your spot. Or your color light. Until it's statistically meaningful.
Then you have proof of concept and can move on to bigger things.
But here's a secret 🤭
It's the everyday little things that have the most impact on changed reality and life experience.
So even if you go big. HUGE even! Keep making those little changes too. They matter.
And as you change YOUR WORLD, the entire world changes with it.
Peace.
